Network Administrator / IT Manager
Job Description:

We are actively recruiting for an in-house IT Manager / Network Administrator to directly manage the overall IT infrastructure at xByte Technologies. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:
  • Install/update, manage and maintain the following Microsoft Windows Servers: Domain Controller(s), File Server, Application Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, IIS Server, Management Server(s), Backup Server(s) and Onsite/OffSite Storage Systems, Anti-Virus/Malware/Spam Solutions, etc…
  • Install/update, manage and maintain internal wired and wireless networks, and Internet Connectivity Systems including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, etc..
  • Install/update, manage and maintain local and remote desktops, laptops, tablets, cell phones, printers, etc…
  • Install/update, manage and maintain internal phones, phone system(s) and connectivity.
  • Install/update, manage and maintain building Security Camera System.
  • Identify, recommend and implement IT solutions to give xByte strategic business advantages.
  • Support xByte’s end-user customers in the area of Server Hardware Installation and configuration.
  • Assist xByte’s internal Sales staff as needed.
  • Assist xByte’s internal Fulfillment and Receiving Engineers/Technicians as needed.
  • Assist Database and Application Administrators as necessary.
  • Recommend and implement overall IT security policies and best practices.
  • Always act in the company’s best interests and follow all legal polices as they relate to technology; and always conduct yourself, and help ensure all employees and the company, conduct themselves to the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
Certifications in any of the above areas are a definite plus. Experience and/or certifications with Cisco equipment also plus. Salary will be commensurate with your experience.
Normal business hours are 9am-5:30pm with off-hours/weekend work only as required for system Installation, maintenance and emergencies. Technical Sales Associate
Job Description:

The role of the Technical Sales Associate is to provide the highest level of client service to our existing as well as future business customers. This person will respond to technical and business-related questions from existing as well as prospective customers each day. New business opportunities will be the primary focus for this position relying heavily on measured outbound contact activity. Our Sales team is responsible for implementing aggressive sales to generate new business, cultivate relationships, and grow profits. This position requires strong dedication, organization, and enthusiasm for achieving company and self-oriented goals.

Responsibilities:
Technical Development
  • Understand technical terminology and language used within industry
  • Grasp broad understanding of technological changes specific to the server and storage generations within defined product group
  • Learn what each component of an Enterprise class server does and its relation to the other components/parts in a system
  • Continue to develop knowledge base of technical changes occurring with industry and keep abreast of new product offerings, changes and promotions

Customer Development
  • Increase sales with established customer base by proactive contact via phone and email campaigns
  • Increase sales with new customer base by cold calling customers and gaining knowledge of target customers infrastructure and needs
  • Meet sales objectives set by management including sales quotas, call activity, and prospect attainment
  • Manage own customer base by making regular 1-1 contact on a monthly/quarterly basis as needed, and thus creating a personal and consultative relationship with client
  • Utilize available resources, such as inside sales support and product managers to assist in closing all business opportunities
  • Develop basic understanding of market pricing and quotation process
Requirements:

  • Candidate must be located and willing to work in our Sarasota based office
  • BA or BS technical degree strongly preferred with a strong academic record
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
  • Prior telemarketing experience is preferred but not required
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team environment and a willingness to help others and cross boundaries
